On arrival you'll find parking easy and the village very walkable. For nature lovers, hikes are everywhere, from trails off of Main Street to great views a short drive away. For those who enjoy more aquatic fun, rivers and lakes are just as accessible.
During the winter, visitors can ski or snowboard at local Willard Mountain, about 10 minutes away. You can even enjoy larger NY & southern Vermont ski areas roughly 45–60 minutes from town.

Main Street
Park once and walk. Shops, food, Hubbard Hall, the library and other village stops are concentrated within a compact area.

Street parking is available, along with the Hubbard Hall and Village parking lots off Washington Street. All parking is free.
Outside the Village
Use a car to access lodging, forests, rivers, Lake Lauderdale and other stops throughout the valley

Winter

While rideshare may be available in some areas, don't plan your trip around it. The village is very walkable but a personal or rental car is the most reliable way to traverse the valley.
